PHYSIO-CONTROL LIFEPAK 15

PHYSIO-CONTROL LIFEPAK 15 DEFIBRILLATOR / MONITOR

Physio-Control continues their legacy of trailblazing technology with their most advanced emergency response monitor/defibrillator – the LIFEPAK 15. The record-selling predecessor to this LIFEPAK® 15 is the LIFEPAK® 12 defibrillator. Physio-Control has proven that they are continually inspired and informed by the professional EMS personnel that are in the field endeavoring to save lives every day, as well as the hospitals that provide the continuation of care for cardiac patients. This newest evolution, the LIFEPAK® 15, delivers the newest critical technology and ease of use in the toughest of environments that professional EMS organizations demand. When the LIFEPAK 15 is in the hands of trained professional EMS at a cardiac arrest event, the PATIENT will have the best possible chance to survive.

LP 15 Advanced Monitoring Parameters:

The LP 15 has more monitoring capabilities than any other monitor/defibrillator. It is the first monitor/defibrillator that integrates non-invasive monitoring for carbon monoxide, Sp02 and methemoglobin. Also, the Massimo™ Rainbow technology detects chemical exposure and certain drugs. This LP 15 also provides EtCO2 with continuous waveform capture, as well as temperature monitoring. Using a pre-medication 12-lead ECG, the LP 15 will monitor all 12 leads in the background and through the ST-Segment Trending Feature alerts EMS to any changes. STJ values are included on the 12-lead printout. All the data will transmit to other systems to share with multiple care teams and facilities, trend or display for post-event review in CODE-STAT™ data review software (web-based LIFENET® System 5.0, LIFENET®STEMI Management Solution).

The dual-mode LCD screen (8.4 inches diagonally) with SunVue™ display gives EMS the best full-glare view in the industry. The screen can go from full color to high contrast with a single touch, allowing for maximum viewing in any weather or sun condition from all angle.

Escalating shocks up to 360 joules for difficult to defibrillate patients:

The LIFEPAK 15 monitor/defibrillator’s ADAPTIV biphasic technology allows EMS to escalate the energy dose (up to 360 joules) as required during a sudden cardiac event. Some SCA VF patients require additional re-fibrillation and an escalation of energy dosage delivery.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) support and guidance and post event review:

Effective CPR is essential in providing life-saving care to a SCA patient. The LP 15 incorporates the CPR Metronome to give audible prompts during a cardiac event that ensure that compressions and ventrilations are delivered according to American Heart Association 2015 Guidelines. This code data can be transmitted to CODE-STAT Data Review Software to be used in continually improving CPR quality in both EMS and hospital settings.

Advanced battery and power options:

The LIFEPAK 15 can operate between external worldwide AC or DC power or use the latest Lithium-ion dual battery technology that provides about 6 hours of power. The LIFEPAK 15 monitor’s two-battery system requires no maintenance or conditioning, allowing for one battery to be charged in the device while using the other. The batteries usable life span is about 2 years and the device will let you know when it is time to replace them. Additionally, you can track the status and service life of your batteries using LIFENET® Asset, part of the LIFENET System data network.

Data Connectivity:

During use, the LIFEPAK 15 collects code summaries and equipment status data along with the critical clinical patient information. These code summaries can be sent directly to the quality improvement team for review by using LIFENET Connect, part of the LIFENET System data network and CODE-STAT Data Review Software. This data can also be reviewed on the LIFENET System 5.0 using LIFENET Asset to be alerted to any potential issues.

Upgradeable Platform:

The LP 15’s can easily adapt to new guidelines changing protocols. The processing power and speed that the LP 15 provides will allow your device to stay current and relevant to all capabilities. Platform upgrades are easily performed, saving your organization time and money in premature and unnecessary replacement.

Product Description and Characteristics:

The LIFEPAK 15 monitor/defibrillator has six main operating modes:

AED Mode: for automated ECG analysis and a prompted treatment protocol for patients in cardiac arrest.

Manual Mode: for performing manual defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, noninvasive pacing, and ECG and vital sign monitoring.

Archive Mode: for accessing stored patient information.

Setup Mode: for changing default settings of the operating functions.

Service Mode: for authorized personnel to perform diagnostic tests and calibrations.

Demo Mode: for simulated waveforms and trend graphs for demonstration purposes.

Along with incorporating the newest life-saving technology, the LIFEPAK 15 is designed with toughness in mind. It has received the IP44 rating for maintaining full operational functions in rain, wind, and other dirty environments, passing the 30-inch drop test during handoff or from a hospital bed, and incorporating a larger shock-absorbing handle for easier handoffs, this device is TOUGH.

Reliable and Available Field Service and Support:

Physio-Control has a 24/7 service team in North America. The 15’s self-checking feature alerts the Physio-Control service team when the device needs attention. Your device will receive on-site maintenance and repair, access to original manufacturer’s parts and highly trained service representatives. This LIFEPAK 15 will be ready when it is needed.
